This years West Open will be combined with the Scottish Squash sanctioned West Ranking Event, and it will held over the weekend of 3/4 April at the David Lloyd Centre Renfrew.

It is with great sadness that we must inform you of the tragic death of young Michael Stokes at the age of just 17 after a very short illness. Michael was one of our most promising juniors having represented the West of Scotland at inter-regional competitions & winning the U19s at last years West Closed. [...]

We are delighted to annouce that this year’s West Closed tournament will be held at SSRC on 17th/18th April. Graded events will be run concurrently to suit all standards of competitor. Last year’s tournament was a great success with a large number of entries. The aim is to do even better this time round!

On behalf of the league secretary, can I remind teams that all outstanding matches need to be played within one week of the end of season with scores to be submitted immediately. (i.e. no later than the evening of Wednesday 24th March.)

Saturday 27 February to discuss affiliation to Scottish Squash.

End of season dinner

With the league fixtures nearing completion, we are approaching the time for our end of season bash. Previous years events have been most enjoyable with top grub, a band, and entertaining after-dinner speakers all featuring. Presentations to winning teams from this season will also be given by the president of West Squash, Henry Reid.
