1st Team Versus Newlands 2 at HOME
Won 3 – 2 ( 13 – 8 )
MoM – Peter Robson – Won (3 – 2)
Another solid performance from the 1st Team. They keep their winning ways and bag another 13 points to keep us up around the top of the league. Big game next week against Newlands 1 at Home again. Should be worth watching! 1st Division is really looking tight this season. Let’s see who Newlands 1 wheel out next week. Rumour has it that PO’H is out injured!
2nd Team – Versus Whitecraigs RFC 2 at AWAY
Won 5 – 0 ( 18 – 3 )
MoM – David Irvine – Won (3 – 0)
2nd team continue to do the business. This result should strengthen their position at the top of the league. No problems, apart from Kenny!
3rd Team Versus Bowfield 2 at AWAY
Won 3 – 2 ( 13 – 8 )
MoM – Cammy Burns – Won (3 – 2)
3rd Team had a hard game against a Bowfield team that seem to be improving. Cammy pulls it out of the bag by winning 3-2 after being 2 nil down. Another 13 points in the pokey.
4th Team Versus Largs 2 at HOME
Won 5 – 0 ( 18 – 6 )
MoM – Roddy Grindlay – Won (3 – 2)
This was a top of the table clash as the 4th team are in second place to Largs 2 who had not yet lost a match this season. They only brought 4 players so were 3 nil down before they started. Their unbeaten run was smashed by the boys. Last man on was Roddy and he pulled the 18 points out of the bag by winning 3-2 after being 2 nil down. He won both 4th and 5th games by 15-14. He still just squeaked the MoM award though!
