Stuart George – West Open Champion 2012/13

Following on from another successful West Open at Hamilton this weekend, congratulations to Stuart for winning his first title.

The Hamilton audience were treated to a very competitive final with home player Kenny Boyle taking a well deserved 2-0 lead but being gradually pegged back by some fantastic attacking play from Stuart, who eventually came through to win 3-2. This match followed on from some competitive semi-finals with Kenny beating club mate Andy MacBean 3-2, and James Wilson losing to Stuart George 3-0, in a match where his efforts warranted a more flattering scoreline.

Congratulations also to B event winner David Lindsay, representing Hamilton, and C Event winner James Singh of Giffnock.
