RULES

Each team will consist of four players.

Players do not have to be members of the club that they are playing for.

Each match shall be best of five games and each game is played PAR to 11 points. If the score reaches 10 – 10, the game is decided by one point sudden death.

Using the Resultszone division rankings, each team is allowed a maximum points total of 10000 points.

Any player not currently ranked in the West Rankings is automatically assigned a ranking value of 3000 points.

Teams can be made up of either male or female players.

Clubs are allowed to enter as many teams as they wish.

Players may only play for one team in the competition. After having played for one club, the player is cup-tied to that club.

Teams must play in order of ranking points. Where two players have the same ranking teams, the team captain may play those players in an order of his own discretion.

There is no requirement to provide hospitality for visiting teams – this is at the host club’s discretion.

Each match will start at 6:30 pm unless previously agreed by both team captains.

The top two teams will be seeded in order of highest ranked division one player. The rest will be randomly drawn.

In the event of a 2 – 2 draw, the match will be decided by:

  • Games won
  • The winner of the fourth string match.
