Basic Referee & Marking Course – SSRC Sun 6th September

West Squash will be running a basic referee & marking course at SSRC, Maryhill on Sun 6th September. The course is mainly targeted at lower league players, to give them the confidence to ref & mark matches on a Wed night in the West leagues, but anyone can attend. The coarse will last approx. 90 mins, (11am – 12:30) and will cost £10, with a snack lunch included.

Content:

1. Game & Match introductions and announcements
2. Markers scoring calls & entering scores on the marking sheet
3. Marker’s and Referee’s Calls – Hand out, Fault, Down, Out, Not up, Yes Let, Stroke, No Let, etc.
4. Some simple Let, Stroke, & No Let, scenarios
5. Questions and Answers
