West Team Knockout Cup 2012

So it’s time for the Team Knockout to open 2012/13 season, read on for details…

Matches will be played on Wednesday evenings, starting the the 29th and running for 3-4 weeks.

Closing date for entries will be FRIDAY 24th AUGUST @ 5:00 PM, and some point during the course of that weekend the full draws will be posted.

All entries must be emailed to tournaments@west-squash.org and no other address.

Tournament Rules…

1) Each Matches will be composed of four ranked rubbers, each playing three games (Even if someone is 2 up, you play third.) using PAR15 scoring with set 1 or 3 as the tiebreak. In the event of a 2-2 tie, the match will be decided on games countback, then points countback, then if that’s still equal then the result of first string rubber will decide the winner.

2) If you are drawn as the “home” team, providing hospitality is not necessary, but is encouraged, check with opposing captain when you see the draw.

3) The event will be graded per the level at which your strongest named player played LAST season. (As usual, will be approximately A – Div 1/2, B – Div 2/3/4, C – 4/5/6)

4) This is an open event, ladies and juniors are strongly encouraged to participate as well!

5) Teams are of course not bound to be from the same club, however, you must have at least one home venue arranged and confirmed in advance for the Wednesday night from 19:00 (or there abouts.)

Entry will be free of charge to encourage as many teams to enter as possible!
