West committee are looking into a new web site, SportyHQ www.sportyhq.com to take over from Resultzone for the coming season. East and Highland regions will be using the software in the coming season, and SSRL will follow in 2016/17 season, replacing the ranking ‘Matrix’ with the SportyHQ version. There are a number of benefits from using this Canadian software, as it has been designed by players for players. It will provide Club, West, Regional, and National rankings, and a number of other features, such as a club court booking system if required. Most of the facilities are free, but some incur a small fee.
Following a proposal at the AGM, the committee has decided that teams must play in order of ability for the coming season, and that splitting teams will not be allowed, except in exceptional circumstances. This will be supported by the SportyHQ ranking system.
West clubs are reminded that affiliation to SSRL, as well as West Squash is mandatory, for clubs/teams to participate in the West leagues.
