Scotstoun Squash Centre Opens!
In a new boost to the West of Scotland Squash scene, Scotstoun Squash Centre opened its doors on Monday 21st January! Currently the front three courts are now finished and open to the public for general booking, with a further three courts still being built – due to open mid-February. There are six glass-backed courts in total, all with movable internal walls to create four doubles courts, as the venue will be used for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. A welcome boost to squash in Scotland!
Courts can be booked by anyone, and cost £7.50 for a 60 minute court, or £6.70 to Glasgow residents holding a Glasgow Leisure card. Watch this space for further developments!!
Excellent!
Nothing on the council page re: booking and costs, can you post the details up here? Do you need to be a Glasgow Club member to book?
Edited to include cost, courts are open to the public! There will be classes starting soon to get the courts busy, so watch this space!
