Incomplete teams – penalty
Penalties were recently applied to Western teams as follows:-
7th March – Team 2 played with only 4 players which had the effect of strengthening Teams 3, 4, 5 and 6. Results of matches involving Teams 2 – 6 are recorded as an 18 – 0 victory for their opponents.
14th March – Team 1 and Team 3 played with only four players. In this case there should have been sufficient time to shuffle players up as per the rules. Teams 1 and 3 – 6 also recorded as an 18 – 0 victory for their opponents. In addition Western teams 1 and 3 – 6 are penalised a further 5 points each.
Would all club captains please be reminded that fielding imcomplete teams is against the rules. Please see previous note -below – for reference….
