Ladies Squash meeting – summary
Many thanks to those of you who made it along to the Ladies Squash meeting at Giffnock on Monday.
To my mind, the meeting was without major incident but did serve to offer the opportunity for any issues / concerns to be raised.
The main points of note were:-
- Start date of Ladies Leagues 1/10/12.
- New teams being entered in Division 2 are: Strathgryffe and Whitecraigs Rugby.
- Division 1 will consist of 6 teams playing each other 4 times.
- Division 2 will comprise 8 teams playing each other 3 times.
- The option of changing team structure to 4 players was briefly discussed but rejected. It was felt this would deprive players of a team place in some cases.
- With the above in mind, teams fielding less than 5 players are requested to communicate with their opposing captains to advise shortages.
- In an effort to avoid late finish times, captains are also encouraged to liaise regarding possible early starts where appropriate.
