Commonwealth Referee Selection

The Commonwealth Games have selected the referees for Glasgow2014, and in a huge boost to Scotland we have six referees who have been selected.

Several referees were put forward by Scottish Squash and Racketball (SSRL) to, and accepted by, the World Squash Federation (WSF). After being recommended to the Commonwealth Games 2014 Committee, six referees were successful, with three coming from the West region.

The chosen referees were: John Crawford, Andy Phillips, and Peter O’Hara (Senior). The three other Scottish referees selected were: Mike Halpin (East), Maureen Maitland and George Tierney (Grampian).

Ian Allanach (Grampian) will also attend as one of two WSF Referee Assessors.
